(DOS) announced the indefinite suspension of the Office of the Leader of IPOB and the Director of Radio Biafra

In June 18th 2026 The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Directorate of State the DOS stated that the suspension was necessary to:

Protect IPOB’s operations and members, especially in Biafraland.

Prevent security breaches, arrests, and violence linked to unauthorized communications or actions.

Stop individuals from using Kanu’s office to justify criminal or unauthorized activities.
