Fulani Herdsmen Strikes In Enugu State, Kills Many Including Women And Children
On Saturday April 27, 2024, Family Writers Press International received and published a terrifying report sent by an indigene of Uzo-Uwani Local Government Area of Enugu State, who said that they are living in fear of Fulani herdsmen attacks in their community and that they can no longer go to farms owing that the herders who are armed to the teeth are into kidnapping and killing of Enugu citizens including one of his cousins who was kidnapped in Uzo-Uwani Local Government Area.
On Sunday April 28, we received another report accompanied by gory images and videos that the Fulani herders had struck at Nimbo, a community in Uzo-Uwani Local Government Area, and in the attack, the rampaging herders gruesomely murdered not less than 10 innocent people in Uzo-Uwani.
This gruesome attack and so many others are the reasons IPOB said they don’t want Fulani herdsmen in our bushes or forest. If they want to live in our land, they must come to the cities and towns and rent apartments so that their identity will be known. Of course our governors understood this fact and they supported it by banning “open grazing” of cows.
It is very unfortunate and saddening that since the Eastern region governors banned open grazing of cows, these herders in violation of this laws have continued to graze their cows openly, committing various heinous crimes against our people in the farms such as raping of women and young girls, kidnapping for ransoms, beheading of their captives and eating and destroying of our farm crops.
Upon all these crimes by the Fulani herders, the Northern Elders Forum (NEF) and the Nigerian politicians are in full support of the criminal activities of these Islamic terror herders against innocent Igbo indigenes.
Eastern governors, because of their political ambition which hangs on the political decision of northern elites have continued to maintain criminal silence while innocent Igbos faces government sponsored Islamic terror .
